LA PAZ (Reuters) – Bolivian legislators in the country’s Senate voted on Thursday night in favor of a new chamber President and 2 vice president, after a spate of resignations amid significant political turmoil in the South American nation.

The brand-new Senate head will be Mónica Eva Copa Murga, a member of the Movement for Socialism (MAS) celebration of Evo Morales, who resigned on Sunday under increasing pressure over a challenged election, leaving a political vacuum.
