Democrat Brenda Lawrence Turns Back into Support of Impeachment

House Democrat Brenda Lawrence (D-MI) turned back into supporting the impeachment of President Trump after mentioning that she did not “see the worth of taking him out of workplace.”

Lawrence, a House Democrat coming from a desirable swing state, made waves in recent days after veering from her Democrat associates and suggesting that they censure Trump instead of impeach him.

” We are so near an election. I will tell you, sitting here understanding how divided this nation is, I don’t see the worth of taking him out of office,” she stated throughout a look on No BS News Hour with Charlie LeDuff.

” I do see the worth of putting down a marker saying his behavior is not acceptable,” she continued.

” I wish to censure,” she added. “I desire it on the record that your home of Representatives did their task and they told this president and any president coming behind him that this is unacceptable habits and, under our Constitution, we will not permit it.”

However, she took an abrupt and quick reversal of that position in a declaration released on Tuesday.

Per her statement:

I was an early fan for impeachment in 2017.

Her current turnaround falls back in line with what she informed Sirius XM host Dean Obeidallah in October:

I feel strongly that for my tradition, for my time in history, sitting here at this table with an oath of workplace to safeguard this nation, to safeguard the democracy of the United States of America, I can not sit quiet, that I must move forward with [impeachment] because this is egregious.

Lawrence’s flip flop follows a substantial shift in public sentiments in concerns to impeachment, with opposition continuing to grow and support dropping, as poll after survey has suggested
