Indiana Sen. Mike Braun (R) verified that the United States is “in as good a shape” and “as ready” as any nation to handle the coronavirus, provided the infrastructure the nation has, while Democrats like Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) are attempting to “weaponize” the infection to win political points.

In an interview with Breitbart News Thursday, Braun said he remained in the “behind closed door meeting” on Tuesday and concluded as an outcome that, offered the facilities the nation has, including the Centers for Illness Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the U.S. is ready to handle a spread of infection.

Braun worried this coronavirus that triggers the COVID-19 infection “needs to be an eye-opener for all of the world” which the U.S. need to stay “vigilant”:

I think it’s going to be an increasing concern over time … And the fact is, this took place someplace else, where they didn’t have the advantage of that[infrastructure] I simply believe that we, of any nation, are going to be in as excellent a shape to deal with it.

Braun said the spread of the COVID-19 infection exposes quite a bit about China.

” Its weaknesses, in regards to are we getting the complete information,” he described:

They clearly do not have the infrastructure to deal with it.

The senator recommends American companies will likely begin to scrutinize their relationships with China.

” Lots of business are going to start taking a look at their supply chain,” he said. “You know how deep it is in China, and probably get an eye-opener about what to do about that down the roadway.”

He included:

When you have actually got locations– where they believe it might have begun with a bat at a food market– that is scary. And I believe they’ve got probably some organizations and components of their culture that was the type of public setting for something like this to occur, and it’s probably the biggest obstacle they had as a nation, much more so than facing tariffs and taking them on for their bad habits as world trading partners.

So, I think they’ve had a one-two blow that, oh, most likely, hopefully, will be an eye opener to them to see how they may change things down the roadway.

Braun’s remarks about Schumer utilizing the coronavirus infection as a political weapon echoed what the Associated Press revealed in its reality check Thursday that observed Democrat governmental prospects are distorting the fact to Americans about the nation’s readiness to manage the virus.
