Pete Buttigieg Cautions Black Law Trainees at UNLV: White Supremacy Could ‘Absolutely Destroy the American Task’

LAS VEGAS, Nevada– Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg warned the Black Law Trainees Association (BLSA) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Tuesday afternoon that we might see “white supremacy absolutely destroy the American job.”

Buttigieg was speaking as part of a four-day swing though the Silver State during early ballot in the Nevada caucuses, which officially take place Feb. 22.

The subjects covered a large range of concerns, and included criminal justice reform and drug legalization.

At one point, Buttigieg vowed to end the policy of “family separation” at the U.S. border– though that policy had already been ended by President Donald Trump via executive order nearly two years earlier.

Outside, two pro-life students, Angelique and Anali, held a protest against Buttigieg on behalf of UNLV Rebels for life.

They identified themselves as feminists who oppose abortion, and told Breitbart News that there were no Democratic Party prospects they might support since all back late-term abortion.

Frank, a first-year law trainee who attended the Buttigieg event, and who is likewise African American, told Breitbart News that he was impressed by Buttigieg, though he had actually not yet made up his mind whom he would vote for in the caucuses Saturday.

” He’s extremely genuine. He resolved ‘issue issues’ and didn’t range from them,” Frank said. “It’s very simple to customize your message to certain audiences. However I truly think he’s interested in learning what he does not know.”

Prof. Cooper was likewise favorable about Buttigieg’s look, stating that while he had actually not comprised his own mind yet, the young governmental contender had gone up his list of potential options.
